Ahh a lunch time update, who can ask for anything more?
Yesterday I went to a local Tower Records Store (when you are in NYC almost everything you want can be found locally, unless you want a tree or some such thing) to see my favorite band. That is right, Styx was performing and I was there!
The previous statement would be true if you replaced Styx with They Might Be Giants and "I was there" with "I missed the performance but I bought their new CD and had them sign it."
It was neat to be up close and not so personal with the Twin Quasars of rock. To make matters even better their new CD, No!, rocks! Get it. BUY IT NOW!
I also was able to listen in on some fellow TMBGer's discuss the band. One young lady traveled 4 hours to here them play 5 songs. That is crazy! And she TMBG sign a photo of her, to which one of the Rockin Duo said, "That picture scares me." Alas I was not able to see the fearsome photo, but the lady was a lovely lass.
I am going to eat soup now. I recommend you do that same.
