I did it!
I just went to jeopardy.com and submitted a form to try out and be a contestant. I know a lot of worthless stuff.. so I think I have a good shot at being on... maybe. My aunt was on the show once.. but she won nothing. NOTHING!
I hope I at least get a hug from Alex.
I also starting looking at PhD programs. I am very excited about that.. I haven't really started looking seriously, but I did ask UPENN to send me an application to their communications program. I think that is what I want to study. English (my major in College) and Technology (my area for my masters) is really all about Communications. And I am interested in typography, and words themselves, so it might all gel in that direction. Or it might not!
All I know is that I want a PhD, and I am interested in a lot of things, but it all centers around language, technology, and education. I think I will be able to find something to suit my needs. And if any of you are out there and have advice for this young Phd to be, send it along.
I am thinking I might want to go full-time if I can swing it, because it usually takes 5 years or so to get done.. and I want to be Dr. Scott by 30. And since I am turning 25 in a matter of days, I have to get started!
Or at least start looking into getting started.
